StatSheet's Big Sky Player of the Week for January 21st goes to Montana's Kareem Jamar. Venky Jois from Eastern Washington has won StatSheet's Big Sky Freshman of the Week. Also, Montana's Spencer Coleman has won StatSheet's Big Sky 6th Man of the Week. Jamar had respectable numbers with 50% shooting, 7 rebounds per game, and 17.5 points per game. The Montana junior played well in wins versus Southern Utah and Montana State.

Jamar posted 12 points and 7 rebounds in 34 minutes in a 73-67 win against Southern Utah. He followed that up with a team-leading 23 points plus an additional 10 assists in a narrow 76-71 win over Montana State.

This is the second time this season that Kareem Jamar has been selected StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week. He has also received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is Troy Huff, a junior from North Dakota. Honorable mention goes to North Dakota junior Aaron Anderson. The highest ranking player from Weber State was Kyle Tresnak who finished eighth.

StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week: Eastern Washington's Venky Jois

Venky Jois averaged 35 minutes starting both games for Eastern Washington. His averages in rebounding (11.0 per game), blocked shots (4.5 per game), and shooting (60.0%) were the best among all Big Sky freshmen. In a 65-47 loss to North Dakota, Jois rang up 12 points and 14 rebounds. Following that in a 72-56 loss to Northern Colorado, he led scoring with 15 points and rebounding with 8.

Amazingly, Venky Jois has won the StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week 3 times. A.J. Hess from Southern Utah grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Marcus Colbert from Montana State.

StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week: Montana's Spencer Coleman
